FLOWING I & II

這是關於人在時間與空間中流動的過程，一些人事物的開端，一些人事物的終結，一切在變動又層層相扣，一種流動的存在狀態。

This is about people flowing through time and space. Throughout the process, some things begin while other things end. Everything is ever changing and everything is connected; a flowing state of existence.

時間與空間在流動中，開始的結束，結束的開始，沒所謂終結。

Time and space is in a state of continual flow; the end of the beginning; the beginning of the end; there is no ultimate termination.

Flowing源自葉飛的小說愛流離，這部十萬字的小說完成於2008年，整部小說就是一個公路電影般的故事，一群人懷著不同的目的，坐上前往一座島的火車，他們有著各自的追尋，並在這場追尋之旅中產生了不同的交集。

三年前葉飛向我提出了合作建議，希望我能為這部小說畫點什麼，她認為不見得非要做故事裡的插畫不可，我看了小說之後有任何感觸，產生什麼樣的想法，都可以把它畫下來。

因為我的存活而死亡

自2013年1月1日至3月3日期間（共62天），我記錄了1000個為我所食用的生命。

記錄1000個作為食物的生命是探問的起點。所思考的問題是：「為什麼生命的存在本身必須藉由吞食其他生命而得以延續？」「哪些生命因為我的存活而死亡？」

The probe starts with the recording of 1000 lives ingested as food. The author is contemplating: “Why does the existence of lives have to be continued by eating other lives?” “What lives have ended in death because of my existence?”

謊言的姿態

作品記錄作者自身所說過的1000個謊言，探討的是言語的死亡課題。我們會因為心有旁騖而刻意說出背離事實的言語，謊言與其說是對於謊言對象的背叛，或者更是對於說謊者自身的背叛。

This work is a record of 1000 lies which have been told by the author, and is a probe into the death of the spoken language. With ulterior intentions in mind, we may deliberately say some things that contradict with the reality. Lying is generally regarded as an act of betrayal to the listener, but perhaps it is more of a betrayal to the liar himself.

作品在構想之初，只有一些零星物件的形象與施作動態。有一天工作的休息時間裡，我腦海裡出現不斷在金屬針孔中穿線的畫面，所以想著如果做一件穿針引線的作品應該不錯；幾乎在同一個時間，又覺得這件作品必須與謊言有關。為什麼有關呢？說起來也頗為直覺而素樸的，我想起看日本漫畫時小朋友賭咒的誓約：說謊的人要吞下一千根針。這是多麼認真而殘酷的一句誓言啊！所以我決定記錄下自己曾經說過的，可以回想起來的1000個謊言，並用1000根針以一條棉線將其串聯。

1000個繪畫事件:在死亡之中

規格：3cm×4cm×1000

作品製作於2009年，作者將相關的人事物抽離成一個個孤立的形象，並化為一個個相等尺寸的木塊。2013年的今天，那些人事物卻已大半消逝了。

For this 2009 creation, the author extracted particular people, incidents and things from his real life and created from each of them an independent image. The images are then painted onto wooden cubes of equal dimension. Now in 2013, most of the people, incidents or things depicted in this work have already vanished from the author’s life.
